Farnesiana was created by Caron in 1999 and is recommended for romantic wear. This feminine scent possesses a blend of mimosa, iris and lavender in a powdery scent.
According to Luca Turin " built around mimosa and blackcurrant, it suggests the bright sweetness of southern winters. Based on the same notes than Apres L'Ondee and L'Heure Bleue (Guerlain) but with a luminous and surprising interpretation. An elegant and refined fragrance". Notes include: Blackcurrant, Mimosa, Almond, Violet, Lilly of the Valley, Lilac, Vanilla, Sandalwood and Musk. Simply to die for!!!!
I thought this would smell like almonds, but it smells like a poisonous plant, really. Very disappointing and unfeminine. One of the worst I've had the displeasure to try. Try before you buy.
Absoutely lovely. If you like Apres L'ondee you might like this one. Very mimosa-y dries down to a powdery amber. Can't smell the lavender though.
I love this one. To me it smells like a softer subtler more powdery Calypso Mimosa. But classier. I found Bellodgia too strong, but this one is so warm and wears well.
I too was excited to try this fragrance as I have Bellodgia and Nuit de Noel. I wasn't sure I liked Farnesiana and hadn't told my husband I was wearing it when he asked me where the Playdoh scent was coming from. Unfortunately, it is a very apt description.
After acquiring Belladgio,I was quite excited to try other Caron fragrances...too much lavender...reminds me of a room spray
