smells kind of soapy to me...very close to boucheron for more money..not for me....but...not bad
smells like boucheron....drydown
had me some of this today...thought was nice and all. but not money worthy...
The explosion of men's fragrances on the market in the past 20 years is really something. I find most current and incoming scents to be more or less spin-offs of some other scent. Perhaps a mere handful of men's fragrances could be or should be considered "a classic". Lauder for Men may not have been around long enough to called "a classic" yet, but its most uniquely masculine aroma, and hard-to-replicate presence may make it a modern day classic none the less. The composition and end result is brilliant in the way it produces a masculine, clean, crisp scent.
Yes, by all means keep wearing this! I personally love it, and I know other women do, too. Just don't spray on too much. Wear what you like and what makes you happy. Enjoy!
I continue to wear it once or twice a week even though my wife is not a big fan. She much prefers Burberry Touch which I also wear. like.
Are you kidding. This smells so beautiful. My coworker wears it and I swear, whenever he passes by you cannot help but look up and sniff the air for some more. I would most definitely buy it for my husband or boyfriend if I had one. Wear it, Baby!
This is the only cologne I've ever enquired about when worn by another man. I knew from the scent of this cologne the moment I met this gentlemen that he had class. There really isn't anything else like it. It truly is unique and indicative of a classy individual.
This is one potent cologne. It only takes a short spray of he stuff to stay with you all day. It is similar to Boucheron but smells much better - less citrusy than Boucheron. It has a softer smell then Boucheron. I would love to know what the woman think of Lauder for Men? My wife hates it but my female co-workers really like it. I am torn as to whether to keep wearing it. Therefore, I rate this product as good pending more feedback from other users-particularly the females.
I have worn it off & on for 21 years, very classy, long lasting, a classic, will never go out of style. I get compliments every time! I will never be without this one. For the mature man that appreciates style.
I used to work in a department store and one of the sales women showed some of us this fragrance and we smelled it. To this day I don't think I've ever smelled a classier and more masterfully blended scent for a man. I used to go up to the fragrance counter just to smell this. Next to Zino by Davidoff it's one of the best manly smells on earth!
This cologne is so masculine but spells delicious. I've never found another cologne that smells as good on him.
Wonderful. Refined and classy. Breathtaking smell. A jewel. If you like Lauder for men try LOEWE pour homme (for men), an expensive and great Spanish fragrance. Very similar to Lauder. LOEWE smells fresher and the drydown isn't so warm. LOEWE is a very good fragrance if you are searching for Lauder. Both scents are for insider ;-). Now you are an insider too.
The fragrance is excellent and to heavy. Women just love the smell always want to know what cologne is that. Just to bad that the departments in Denver have stop selling it. But thanks for the new world of Internet
As stated earlier below -- this is a world class fragrance, period! I am only sorry that it took 19 years to arrive in my life but hey, thanks to the well-written reviews in this forum -- it's in the collection to stay! In this case -- definitely better late than never! It is absolutely a unique scent that stands by itself. IMO there is really nothing I've ever used to compare it to?!... There seems to be a tiny note that I can only describe as similar to hi-ozone Midwestern rain lurking around in the melange somewhere. It is spectacular and mystifying! It has been touted as the "most masculine fragrance ever made..." Ah thinks yer gonna luv it -- I do! Rest in peace, Estee Lauder (1906-2004) ------<-@
I had this one, but was never really crazy about it. Not bad, but not the best on my skin. Is probably quite good on others.
For those who seek to be unique, elegant, refined, and classic in their scent. Amazingly sexual
Very nice and a lot of compliments
I never thought this would be such a classy fragrance. Estee Lauder has created one of the best men's fragrances of all times. This one is an absolute winner.
I have worn this cologne since I was 21 [20years ago]. It is my signature scent and I am always asked "what scent I am wearing" and where it can be purchased.
The original is STILL the best. Try as they might to replace it. This has been a termendous fragrance since it first hit the market.
I said that I saw similiarities with Ricci Club. I was wrong. Not even close, they are completely different fragrances. Duhhh.
Ok, I absolutely love Lauder for Men. Has anyone tried Metropolis? What is it like? A FiFi winner, and nobody carries it. A flop? Out of prodiction? Any info will be appreciated. Thanks in advance. [email protected]
I liked it the moment it came out but it took me a while to get around to buying it. This is a world class scent. It is not very common, and comes from a different era. Yet it is very modern and luxurious. I can see some similarities to Ricci Club in the wood notes but Lauder is much lighter, and not as sweet. A wonderfull cologne for all occasions. I am glad it is still being sold.
I get lots of compliments whenever I wear this. Lauder is one of my favorite fragrances.
I receive more compliments from ladieswhen wearing the Lauder After Shave than when using others among my toiletries. It is difficult to find it in the original scent however.
