Horrible!!!! No fragrance whatsoever- what a shame! The bottle is the best thing going for it. What's up with quality control?

The marshmallow accord and tiare flower are to die for! This is a grown up scent and is probably going to be a signature staple for me in my fragrance wardrobe this year. I have yet to track down the bottle of elixir that is the stronger version in the "gold" bottle....if anyone knows where to snag that, please let me know! Give this a try...you may have to look past the celebrity name as I did, since I am not a huge fan of M.Carey, but I am glad I gave it a sniff at the store...I was so pleasantly surprised, and hope you will be too. One note....when you think marshmallow, think of ooey gooey almost starting to burn marshmallows over an inscensy fire at night. Very "adult" marshmallow, not the sickly sweet scent of marshmallows holding crispy rice cereal together in that famous kids dessert we know and love, but would most likely not choose to wear on our body as a smell! I sniffed this at the dept. store, and was soooooo embarrased that I was soooooooo gone over a perfume endorsed ( which it really is, since the celebrity doesn't always "design" the parfum) by Ms. Carey. I bought a small bottle, and it must just work w/my skin, because everyone from the checkout lady at Home depot to the "cashier" at a casino complimented me on this smell. I love the "marshmallow" accord. It is different than vanilla, or almond, but does have a light gourmand smell to it. Think more like roasted melty, sort of starting to burn marshmallows you made around the campfire....not rice crispie treats :) The insense is light, and it comes out more on my skin when I wear the roll on concentrate. If I just spray on the EDP, I get more of the unique blend of floral, inscense and mallow. Very different...i love it, with the exception of the bottle. In my oppinion it is just sort of like something thrown together as an after thought. A very gaudy and ugly purple butterfly cap on a very non-descript purple bottle w/ a silver ring under the diffuser. Not great if you are in to setting out your parfum's on your dressing table, but I store my collection in a dark drawer out of the sunlight, so it really is not an issue to me. Hope this helps! I like the bottle more than the perfume.So light at first can barely smell anything and then by the time it smells like marshmallow it disappears.too expensive for that.

I personally like this fragrance, I use it for special occassions. I thought we were supposed to be talking about the fragrance, not Mariah. If you truly loathe someone, why waste the time concerning yourself with them. What an idiot!

and I just got it the other day and I am happy but also disappointed! It smells good really good but it is soooo light and has no staying power! MC whats up with that? I hope Luscious Pink lasts longer because that will be my next purchase.I bought this and Hypnose by Lancome and Believe by Britney Spears and of them all Hypnose is a winner smells luscious and Believe (Britney Spears) smells really good too so much different from her other perfumes but hands down Britney's scents are the best so modern,girlyand the coolest bottles.What do you all think of the staying power of Mariah Carey M does it last on you? I think it is way overpriced!It should be a stronger scent but I do remember Mariah Carey was on The View show and she said she didn't like perfume but she likes hers and maybe that is why it is light ,alot of women like light perfumes but me,I like it strong like Sung and Betsey Johnson I want a fragrance people can smell so I can get me some compliments,You know what I am saying? If not it makes no sense to even wear perfume then!

Mariah, Girl everything you touch turns to GOLD. I have M the bottle is beautiful purple the fragrances like no other in the world. Everyday I wear it and everyday a MAN comes up to me grabs my arm and takes a BIG whiff of me and asks "What is that Smell"? I tell them its my Mariah perfume and the just want to fall down and they whiff me again and tell me " I smell sooooooo good." and they come back for their "FIX" they say. I feel so beautiful and so sexy when I walk around work. The other women won't comment on my perfume.,their jealous. Men are Buying it for their wives this X-mas.So Thank You, Thank You. Boring fragrance by a narcissist IMO. Down to that silly butterfly cap. No depth. (the perfume!?) A good young celebrity frag. to try was surprisingly Hilary Duff's "with love" if you like amber. It is very very ambery but well done. I like to mix that with vanilla fields. M gets 1 thumb down, and 1 up since I just feel sort of sorry for that girl.

Strong nor weak...its perfect...although if ur looking for more intense then get the Gold (parfum) version.....I love the marshmallow woven threw out the scent this is so exotic...can't for her new one Luscious Pink.

This fragrance is a warm flowery vanilla on my skin. It's sweet and comforting to me, an instant calming agent. It is one of those fragrances that the wearer thinks has worn off but that others can still detect, so be careful not to over-apply. It is nicely enhanced by vanilla based bath products.

Perfect early to late evening perfume with a soft dress on. I can spray it on heavy and it never smells overwhelming. Stays with me softly. Georgeous bottle.

a sweet and spicy oriental scent I could smell my self all day long one of my male colleagues came in the PBX and said it smells like sweet baked bread in here, it's my perfume I answered laughing.

i expected more, when you first use it, it was great, but then i found out that the fragrance does not last too bad, wonderful scent

I only read on Mariah Carey's official site about the perfume. It sounded amazing so I ordered it without even smelling it. Wow it's truly amazing perfume. Sweet, seductive & warm. This is now my new signature scent. I swear this has to be the best celeb perfume out there.

smells a lot like Euphoria quite nice at first but looses something during the dry down I wouldn't buy this despite the good smell just because I loathe Mariah so much

I love this sent. It takes me back to my youth day. It is very light and stays on all day.

I like alot of vanilla type fragrances. This is okay, nothing as good as she could have made, but okay. The incense could have been used more interestingly, but we're talking about Mariah Carey here. I don't find her that complex of a person. Talented, but not particularly interesting.
